Her invention, The Jack Pack, is a child’s backpack with a built-in hood and sleeves which can come out as a “jacket” when needed.
WNY Inventor of the Year- Fifth through Eighth Grade category:

Her invention, the Robotic IV Proximater, is an IV stand that moves remotely with the patient at a pre-programmed distance.
Director’s Choice Award:
Shira Symons (Grade 7), Kadimah School
Her invention, AIM-X, is an orthopedic assistance device intended to help people with injuries or disabilities to
improve their basketball shooting skills.
People’s Choice Award:
Lilly Sokolofsky & Ava Fox (Grade 3), Akron Central Middle School
Their invention, The Multi-Function Stick, is a hiking accessory that holds a flashlight, compass, first-aid, and a water filter.
Re-Invent Award- sponsored by Goodwill Industries:
Michael Scime (Grade 5), Smallwood Drive Elementary School
His invention, The Chopping Champion, is a cutting device similar in concept to a Swiss Army knife, but designed for the
chef/cook to expedite food preparation- includes knives, grater and seasoning shakers.

His invention, the “Supercase,” packaged a built-in music stand within a violin case.
WNY Inventor of the Year- Fifth through Eighth Grade category:
Devlyn Irr, Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary School in Williamsville
Her invention, the “Seiz,” was a mouth guard that would send a warning signal to alert
caregivers and family members when its wearer was having a seizure.
Director’s Choice Award:
Miguel Reyes, Stanley G. Falk School in Buffalo
His invention, “The Amaze-a-Bed,” created a serene wake-up experience with refreshing smells
and sounds to get the sleeper out of bed and ready for the day.
People’s Choice Award:
Abby Bishara, Sheridan Hill Elementary in Clarence
Her invention, the “Nimbus,” was a fashionable soccer headband that provided
added safety through concussion detection & monitoring.
Re-Invent Award- sponsored by Goodwill Industries:
Maeve Garvey, St. Joseph University School in Buffalo
This category re-purposes items commonly found in Goodwill Stores into new and noteworthy items.
Her invention, the Cup & Saucer Birdfeeder, turned a matching Tea Cup & Saucer into a trendy birdfeeder.
